Week 6 - The Dreaded Plateau

Well it finally hit, that dreaded "plateau" everyone warned me was coming. I only lost 2 pounds this week. I can't even describe how discouraged I was when I stepped on that scale last night. The nurse that weighed me told me that it was totally expected and nothing to worry about. I'm still going to average 5 pounds a week according to them.



After sleeping on it, I'm not discouraged anymore. In fact I'm more committed now than ever. I had planned to cheat a little for my birthday this Saturday but now I've decided that I'm going to suffer through and stick to the diet.


I picked my exercise up considerably this week, I almost doubled the weekly minimum. The main thing that helped me in that area is I contracted someone to kick my butt around the gym and it works. He pushes me and makes me do a lot more than I would do if I were going at it alone. His name is Rodney Paine (yes that's his real name) :)













Starting Weight 380 lbs

Current Weight 344 lbs

Weight Loss To Date: 36 lbs

That Rodney Paine guy looks like a serious dude. I hope he keeps you inline. 2 pounds is great. Most diet plans recommend 2 to 3 pounds per week is the healthy way to lose weight. Keep it up.

Losing 2 lbs is better than gaining 2 lbs. You're doing a great job and I hope you continue to lose weight like you want to.
